Whip End Dip is great stuff. It is good for sealing the ends of climbing and caving ropes. I also use it on the boot laces of my hiking and caving boots. The stuff is particularly useful when cutting a rope. paint a 2 inch section of rope where you plan to cut it. Let the dip dry, then cut right in the middle of the painting. The rope won't fray at all while you cut it. You can then dip it again to seal the ends. Good as new!
