This is an excellent rope pad! It's easy to attach to the rope and seems very durable. And isn't all that expensive.

You can't go wrong with this stuff. These guys sell it for pretty cheap too :) Durable, abrasion resistant rope that will cut right through limestone. It is one of the most tested and highest rated ropes out there. I would recommend this to anyone.
Tougher than the cave

The toughest rope around. Max-Wear sheath is amazingly abrasion resistant, to that point that it cuts the rocks.
Used in lengths from 15ft to 1600ft, definitely the best rope for caving.
The ONLY rope I'd recommend for caving.

Super-stiff sheath means the most abrasion-resistant rope available. Critical for IRT-style rigging (throw the rope down the hole and go); the safest and most long-lasting option for fixed rigging in project caves.
This is the standard for a reason, people.
