When the Ultralight came on the market in the 1980s, this was probably the best climbing helmet in the world – and is still a top choice today. The Ultralight‘s classic shape and sturdy construction makes this helmet absolutely ideal for institutional use in places like adventure parks or climbing schools. Nevertheless, experienced climbers and mountaineers appreciate its timeless design and great value for money. It’s no wonder that this helmet has received so many awards over the years. Head size 54-60 cm.

I went with this helmet at the recommendation of another, far more experienced caver. I've not had to rely on it for protection YET while caving or rappelling, but I am assured that it's definitely a good one for avoiding knocks to the head. It fits great, and is very solidly constructed.

I just bought another one of these helmets. My first lasted 10 years and the new and old fit really well on my oversized head. Works for smaller heads too (my 13yo uses one), but this is one of the few caver-usable helmets that have enough give in the suspension for big heads.

If there is one thing you don't want to skimp on in life it's climbing gear, and a helmet is probably one of the most important pieces of equipment you are going to get. This helmet not only provides you with the necessary safety, it also won't break the bank. It's no wonder why this helmet is so popular with experienced climbers, it truly is the best.
